Today, I get to go to Des Moine for the first time. Ive been living here in Iowa for a little over a year, and have yet to visit the big city, other than skirting around its far edges. When folks discover that little fact, they look at me with a kind of quizzical expression on their faces, wondering how that is even a remote possibility.
