Today I had engagement with the people responsible for the management of our water supply in Garissa town. In particular I had lengthy discussion with the MD GAWASCO Mr. Idris Abdi. Our discussion were candid and detailed to understand the problems. I must say that his explanation were specific and with clear commitment to resolve the problems facing us in Gsa town. The challanges as explained include mechanical problems requiring upgrading of the existing equipments. In this regard he has assured us that most of the equipment are now in the final instalation and that withing the next 10 days most of the problems will be resolved. This commitment was made in the presence of the media ( citizen, risala FM etc) who happened to have been with Mr Idris at the time of our conversation. Lets give the GAWASCO boss the benefit of doubt and allow him to complete the works he is doing in the next 10 days. I wish him well.
