Today I had the hard realization that I raised a very disrespectful son. He may not be to everyone but he certainly is very angry with me. I am sharing this because I want you mothers to hear me out and hopefully not make the same mistakes I did. My lifestyle of being dead center hard and heavy in the game has proved its point in children learn what they live. He followed in my footsteps got into trouble and now must apparently hate me for it. Be wise in your choices of what you represent to your children so that they dont pass it on to their children thinking that it is ok because they survived it. It is hard as a grandmother now to watch this very thing happen. Telling his children things that make me want to cringe because he is grasping for straws and someone to blame when all along it should be me or because his children have a natural love for me and he cant control it. This is a very sad situation and it pains me more so because of the pain my grandchildren are having to endure because of it. I once believed a had done a good job raising my kids but now I must take a long hard look at it and know I was not always right in my choices. I am admitting this to you with the courage it is taking me to possibly help someone out there to take that hard long look before it is to late. I love my son but I dont like him or the things he has said to me or done. He is a grown man now and should know the difference between right and wrong or maybe he is stuck in a child like mentality because he reacts like one when he dosent like what ever is not his way. That part is just life and hopefully my son will learn that some how from some where. I will pray for him as now that is all I have and I will pray for those who are making the very mistakes I made that the Lord will pick you up and place you on the straight and narrow path because the well traveled wide path will only lead to sorrow, pain, and destruction.
