Today I had to go to the US embassy in Mexico City to get pages added to my passport. As I was waiting in line to pay I was somewhat forced to watch CNN for about 30 minutes. Just when I thought Cartoon News Network could not surprise any more, the entire 30 minutes was about, get this, headline "Africa responds to Trayvon Murder". Are you serious CNN? Like the entire continent of Africa has nothing more troubling going on than the a black kid killed by a hispanic kid in Florida? Seriously CNN?? Whats worse, when I get back to my hotel room and turn on the TV, well well well, there is Anderson Cooper talking for a full hour about, yes, Trayvon Martin. Someone, please wake me up from this bad dream.
