Today I have 3 years clean of all mind altering, mood changing substances. I can in no way fully express in words the gratitude that I feel. This last year has been the best of my life thus far. God has graced me with a life that is truly beyond my wildest dreams. I had never even hoped for any of this. Today I have the most amazing people in my life, people who want nothing from me but to see me succeed. I have found love, friendship, freedom, purpose, dignity, and most importantly I have found a loving God of my own understanding, who has blessed me instead of condemning me. If all I had gotten was freedom from active addiction, I would have been overpayed. Thank you, every one of you, for being a part of my life and my recovery. Thank you for not having me do this alone.
