Today. I have a surprise for you. My friends, Lamon (Lamon Manuel) and Adam (Defcee), were featured as part of this series a few weeks earlier in the summer. The Window Series has presented local artists and songwriters with a chance to showcase their craft, often in an acapella setting, to allow listeners (and in this case, viewers) a chance to hear people HONESTLY break down some of the intricate parts of their verses. For mine, I chose one of the most difficult songs Ive written in recent memory. The last song on my last project, Echoes (Second Requiem), written as a tribute to some issues Ive faced my entire life, and an album release that coincided with the passing of my grandfather. Troy (Sev Seveer) made the instrumental for it, but I wanted a chance to honestly SPEAK this one to and for you. Give it a listen, and a watch, if you get the chance. Spread the word.
