Written in a simple language, the hand book is ideal for students undergoing various challenges in realizing their dreams. Elijah lost her mother in 2000 when he was 8yrs old, he was left with two children to take care of; a sister aged 3 yrs and a younger brother who was 2 months old. He dropped out of school at class five at Ikinu Primary School in 2004 due to financial constrains and also to take care of his siblings. The following year-2005, he lost his grandmother who was assisting him to look-after his siblings as he sort menial jobs to sustain them. In 2008, Elijah rejoined primary school at class seven and sat for KCPE the following year scoring an impressive 256 marks. in 2009, he sort for employment in various food kiosks and butcheries selling soup and mituras. At night, he would hawk boiled eggs & groundnuts at the few bars in Ikinu. He would supplement his earnings by selling Uji whenever the weather was cold in the early mornings or hawk coffee in the evenings. In 2010, Elijah joined Kiairia Secondary School where he would later drop at Form 2 for lack of school fees. In an entire school Term he would only attend a handful of lessons. At the time he was dropping out, his fees arrears had accumulated to over 20,000. His determination and focus in life would never allow him to give up, he later requested a former schoolmate to tutor him privately at home whenever he had time. He borrowed books from former schoolmates most of them either graduates now or pursuing various careers. He registered for KCPE as a private candidate last year 2013 and is hopeful to score above C+. He hopes to join University and pursue a Degree in Social Sciences if he gets a sponsor.
