Today I have the pleasure of shipping a complete set of pre-war Marine Bands to a very good customer. I have been working on this project for a couple of months but it would be more accurate to say several years – because that’s how long it took me to assemble a complete set of pre-war Marine Bands. Per the customer’s request I built each harp using one of my custom Fancy Acrylic combs. They are tuned to Modern Compromise Tuning at A = 442 Hz. I have photo-documented every step of the process of restoring these harps. I plan to create a slide show presentation to show their transformation. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.
