Today, I heard from Mohammed from Turquoise Mountain, a nonprofit - TopicsExpress

Today, I heard from Mohammed from Turquoise Mountain, a nonprofit in Kabul that formed to preserve traditional arts and support struggling artisans. While he promotes Afghanistan handcrafts at a trade show in Paris, he took time to say that the jewelry (designed by Pippa Small) should arrive in Cedar Rapids in a couple of days. Pippa Smalls Turquoise Mountain collection is for those who enjoy rough, organic hand made feel of jewelry. A limited supply of semi-precious earring studs and pendants will be available. Lets see how Eastern Iowans respond to this designer jewelry with a purpose. If well accepted, the selection will be expanded to become a permanent line at Eclipse Trading Post. You be the judge! Shown here in set in gold, but expect silver settings in the shop.
