Today I held discussions at Konza City grounds with ICT Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi together with my Makueni counterpart Prof. Kivutha Kibwana and Kajiado Governor Dr. David Nkedianye. The meeting resolved to form a consultative group to facilitate and speed up the implementation of the Konza City project. I fully support the national project and Machakos is speeding up the development of its new city so as to prepare for Konza. We are also setting up infrastructure such as hotels, hospitals, schools and even entertainment centers to facilitate those who will be working in Konza because we want it to be a success. I later hosted Dr. Matiangi and Mr. Kibati in my office where we further discussed how Machakos can benefit from the National governments ICT program.
