Today I helped host a Challenge Party for the teachers at a grade school during their lunch breaks. As Patti Brant Renfro and I walked in to the teachers lounge and eating room there were two tables FULL of bakery items... and in place RIGHT BY TABLES was an elliptical machine. .everybody had to walk around to get to the goodies made up of Cookies, cakes, cupcakes, all kinds of pastries and then of course the obligatory fruit trays too... For the last week we had fliers up for the event to let teachers know we were coming in to share about #project10challenge and the opportunities that are involved with every 10lbs lost or 10lbs muscle gain and how those 10lbs will feed a child at risk 30 meals courtesy of #Visalus and award the loosers or gainers $1000! It was interesting to see how the teachers that came in were separated into 3 groups.. 1) dont bother me with your shakes and I dont want to hear/see anything. .I just want to get my sweets and wont look you in the eye 2) well..Ill try the shakes...maybe listen to you half way...maybe Ill listen and say Id like to lose 10lbs .but move out of the microwave area because I need to eat my bean/cheese taco, pizza, hot dog..etc... oh and I cant have whey or soy 3) Im really interested and would love to hear about this project! Wow! Shakes & High Protein Cereal is really good! Im beating myself up over not taking a picture of the sweet versus Visalus tables..ha ha Hoping to change just one life.. I believe the principal will be accepting the Challenge. .she wants to feed a child at risk! She gets it! People say they want change...and want to feel healthy... be healthy...fit in their clothing better..get off meds..etc...but when you are standing there with a solution...they close their eyes, place hands over their ears and say la la la la...I cant hear you! So from what I experience is people really dont want it..but they sure like to complain! Just sharing some if my day.. just trying to make a difference for others here!
