Today I`m not in the office I have a day off and time to inform you about another former CDR-donkey ETSI. Etsi lives together with Akis and Mouse (also a former CDR-donkey - in the shelter are 6 one) in one stable-box. Etsi is a lovely donkey and a big fighter. Since about 1 1/2 year she cant get up on her own. She nearly has the same wounds like Poulitska have had. When I have my volunteering day I am always allowed to make her wound treatment. I have not the routine in this work while only doing once a month and I often need an hour for it. But Etsi is a patient donkey and it seems like she enjoyed my attention. In the picture you see her ready after the wound treatment with a light blanket which protects her against flies. Etsi always enjoys my scratched apples, pears and karrots. And she loves rusk. You can see two little dugs aroung her. These two dugs are Etsi´s personal fly-bodygards. They always picks the flies which are sitting on Etsi`s feet with their beaks away but without hurting Etsi. I have seen it on my on foot. They beak the fly but dont touch me.
