Today, I met one HONEST and PATRIOTIC Ghanaian. The name is ELI EVANS and he is the CEO of DOMINION TECHNOLOGIES. His company bided to develop the website for Ghanas participation in Brazil 2014 but did not win the contract obviously because he was asking for too much money. But the company which was given the contract - the choice of the then Minister Elvis Ankrah and his brother Yaw could not do the job, Eli was invited and mandated verbally to do the job. He was told he would be paid GHc5,000 as as against the GHc20,000 plus that was going to be paid the ministers preferred service provider (we must find out if they were paid any money for the shoddy work they did which Evans was authorised to scrap). After successfully delivering a finished job to the admiration of the project steering committee, one of the big guys gave him GHc50 to go and buy akpeteshie. Until now, he has not received his money after he has submitted an invoice to the committee. His only payment was GHc1,000 which the then minister gave him in June. Now check this. The invoice he submitted in May covered fees for management services till the end of the tournament in July. But because Black Stars were eliminated in the group stages, he could not continue providing the contracted services. Therefore, he is cancelling the content management services fee for the month of July, an amount of just GHc1,000. Compare that with millions paid to people in SADA, SUBAH, GYEEDA, Rlg, Zoomlion, etc,. I think this young man deserves a national award. Judging from his name, I can guess which part of Ghana he comes from and am I not proud he is my kinsman!!!! Then looking at the name of his company, I can bet my last Ghana pesewa on his religious conviction. There is hope for Ghana and that hope is in the .....
