Today I met with 20+ Liberian community leaders in Brooklyn Park to share about the Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience - STAR Training;. Ive known Alexander Collins, a leader in the Liberian community for sometime and a recent Sunday Pioneer Press front page article noted our emerging work together twincities/Health/ci_26789685/A-world-away-Ebolas-deadly-shadow-is-cast-in-Minnesota Rev. Collins and these leaders want a STAR Training for the Liberian/West African diaspora within the next 90 days to address their Ebola-related trauma healing needs. They need $12,000 for this STAR Training. They want STAR Training knowledge for their local community and to share with fellow country women and men when they return to Liberia and other Ebola-impacted West African countries.
