Today, I paid off one of my husbands credit cards with an outstanding balance just shy of $700. IT FELT AMAZING. Tomorrow, when my next paycheck comes in, I will pay off another. All told, in a period of 24 hours, I will have paid off approximately one-fourth of the debt he brought into the marriage, from money I earned directly. Ive always had side contract gigs, but nothing as steady, reliable, or as well-paying. I know that the gig is so temporary, but even if I only off-load the debt were currently carrying, it will all have been so worth it. Thank you, universe, for giving me a break. Its not the Birth Center (and nothing ever will be) but there can be no substitute for being self-sufficient and independent.
