Today I painted the first set of shelves, the ones En built in our bedroom/sitting room; I kept painting and now have part of the walls painted a bright, fresh white. It looks so fantastic, so clean and bright, clear energy for this space that were turning into our sacred space: the cupboards are intentionally big enough so that everything we need is stored within them and the room is left clean and clear. En spent the day preparing the exterior wall for the new sliding door hes putting in so that we can access the verandah from the bedroom; today was moving the wall sockets and having everything ready to go. When I finished doing the inside I went out and dug a heap of weeds out of our garden patch, getting ready for the autumn planting, tuning into the Deva that has come to live in our gorgeous fig tree down the front of the block. There is so much awesome goodness going on with that connection that its going to take me a whole essay to describe it. I came upstairs covered in mud. En helped me undress because I didnt want to get mud all over my clothes; I stood underneath the rain water shower until the hot water felt like it had washed every vestige of the world away from me. I came inside to discover hed made a yummy dandelion tea for me, with coconut cream instead of milk, the way I love it. He just finished making dinner- mung bean fettucini with tempeh in a freenut butter sauce, drizzled with more coconut cream- and were sitting here eating together as Im writing before we watch another episode of Pushing Daisies which I have only recently discovered. Im listening to the crickets and cicadas outside, the music of the forest as the darkness wraps itself around our little home, cosy and in the process of being transformed into a sacred sanctuary. There is so much yum and beauty and joy in my life.
