Today I posted a photo of one of my current Moore Labs Rescue foster dogs on the fundraiser page. Supporting rescue groups and spay/neuter clinics is important in North Carolina, where every year, over 250,000 animals are euthanised because there is no one willing to adopt them and care for them. This averages to nearly 700 animals killed daily. Fact is - there are just too many of them. This is why the work of rescue groups and spay/neuter clinics is so important. In our area of North Carolina, the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation (CACF) has completed over 20,000 spay and neuter surgeries for groups and individuals since opening in January 2008. This increase in available spay/neuter has already impacted intake numbers at county Animal Control Facilities.
