Today I received a call from Mark. He said, Lenny, theres someone here whod like to talk to you. And then he handed the phone to Clint. Hi Lenny, from Clint Heuett are some of the most wonderful words Ive ever heard. I spoke briefly about a job we worked together on the Clearwater River and completed in early September. He remembered bits and pieces. I could tell he was trying to make things gel. He said, Be careful of the ice in your boat, referring to later this winter. He is now able to go to the bathroom by himself. Mark is hoping to take him on a short walk later this week. Things are still fuzzy, but they are connecting. Tomorrow is Clints 21st birthday. A milestone. As Mark put it, Its not exactly the place we planned to celebrate his 21st birthday; but we are going to celebrate it. Mark said the facility is pretty strict about visitors. During the day while Clint is in there, they want his undivided attention for rehabilitation, sometimes excluding family. Continued prayers for mental clarity and physical dexterity. I know your prayers are going on around the clock. Happy Birthday Clint Heuett! Love ya man.
