Today I received a call from a customer I just met last week at the West End Garage. She was so happy to find Chalk Paint® and excited about a project she was working on. She made her purchase and was off the create some magic. This customer came back to the West End Garage this past Sunday and much to her surprise…Magnolia Lane Design was no longer there. She was very upset and asked questions, tried to get someone to help her but was rudely brushed off. No one would tell her where Magnolia Lane Design has gone. This past Saturday was Magnolia Lane Designs last day at the WEG. The time had come for us to move on and find a location not in a Co-op. We felt a bit sad, we liked the WEG very much and had been there a good amount of time. However, change is good and this was going to be a good thing. We moved to Cape May Antiques Inc., not far, maybe a 10-15 minute ride. This customer would have appreciated the lady at the counter helping her, instead she was treated rudely. After all, she could potentially be a customer of the WEG too, thats not very good customer service. So back to today…I received a call from Marty Duckly, the customer that was treated rudely. She left a message on my phone at the Point Pleasant Store and on my personal phone. I called her back shortly after. She told me what an awful experience she had at the WEG and was so happy that I called her back. You can bet that Marty will probably never go back to the WEG, which is unfortunate, its a great store with some really great venders. Karma is a funny thing…if you have bad intentions, it usually comes back to you 10 fold! We will continue to be positive and hope that if a customer asks where we are they will be treated better than Marty was. Karma!
