Today I received a very heartfelt phone call from our one and only Dr. Young. My heart sank. Honestly, Ive not contacted her in a couple of months. Ive made some decisions this summer and not going to chILD conference was one of those. It was a quiet hard decision. I also have been in an angry grieving mode and not been able (emotionally) to speak medically to those professionals. By no means am I blaming them AT ALL!! I just needed some time. We had a quick chat, she ask about our girls, ask how I was (otherwise) and sorta like catching up. May sound weird, but I just blurted Ive missed you. Ive missed your voice. Her response was one I didnt expect. Weve missed you. Weve missed hearing your voice and hearing from you. And it was sincere. Not just words. You have no idea what that truly means. I do hate the fact I am not with my many fellow lung moms, dads, caregivers and kiddos in Denver. But WE ARE THERE, in heart, soul, and spirit. We WILL and ARE moving mountains a pebble at a time with God and Levi by our side. ~~ #LeviStrong
