Today I received an email from Nicole Curtis, the wife of Jason - TopicsExpress

Today I received an email from Nicole Curtis, the wife of Jason Curtis who adopted a shelter dog (who they named Diesel) in hopes that the dog would have the potential to be a service dog for Jason, who suffers PTSD. Along with the email there were several pictures that took my breath away....and brought me to tears!!! Diesel received his service vest this past week...his official PTSD Service Dog in Training vest. There is a significance in sharing this post with you as many of you generously gave to the physical needs of the Cherry Eye dog. You gave from the heart for not one, but two cherry eye surgeries, in addition, someone met the need of the service vest which was $200. Jason, Nicole, their children and of course Diesel have been blessed by your love and outreach. This is a personal story of life challenges, but it especially shows us the bond between Jason and Diesel. This isnt just a feel good post...this is REAL life for Jason and the partnership he has developed with Diesel!!! From what I understand the mission of Diesel is to recognize when his master is under stress or anxious. Diesel senses this duress and quickly comes to the assistance of his master with unconditional love, devotion, and loyalty to calm Jason. The Curtiss story touches our hearts in many ways, and I hope you will join me as we pray for the next step in their journey together. Every day may not be ideal , but every day is a day to celebrate the mission of a shelter dog in the life of a US Army veteran and the healing that this unique partnership shares.
