Today I registered for the Outer Banks Sporting Events Southern Fried Half-Marathon in Nags Head, North Carolina. One of my best friends Abbey Finch will be taking the road trip with me and running also! This is HUGE for me... a long-time dream and long-term goal. THE RACE IS IN 313 DAYS!! I run because it reminds me that I am stronger then I think I am, and that I am capable of so much more then I think I am. I also run specifically as an AMBASSADOR with Runwell: The Linda Quirk Foundation because I believe that physical health is vital in order to maintain continuous and meaningful long-term recovery. I am asking all of you fine people to SPONSOR me in this race. By doing this you will be supporting me in my recovery and opening the doors for others to begin their recoveries. All monies raised will go directly for ADDICTION TREATMENT SCHOLARSHIPS at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center which is a rare quality treatment center in Maryland owned by two of my good friends Zach Snitzer and Sam Bierman.
