Today I said goodbye to THE MOST amazing, inspirational and loving person Ive ever known. Her love of life and everything in it along with her unmatchable positive attitude is what set her apart from anyone else. She was the most amazing mother a child could have ever asked for. The sacrifices she made while I grew up continue to inspire me. She was always there for me and knew when I needed her the most. I could never have been able to thank her enough for all that she taught me, I will take so many lessons forward and pass them onto my kids. She was also an amazing grandma, great grandma, wife, sister, aunt and most of all friend to everyone she came in contact with. She likely never realized just how many lives she have had monumental impacts on, and even if she did, she never once expected any type of recognition or anything in return. Most of all, my mom was my best friend. She was always there when I needed some words of advice, a shoulder to cry on,or just a good ole butt whopping in scrabble :) Thank you to Dr Martin and all of the amazing staff at the Slave Lake Health Care Centre. Your compassion and professionalism throughout was outstanding. Mom was so well looked after by all of you, and for that I can never thank you enough. Mom spoke daily about how much each and every one of you meant to her and how much she appreciated everything thing you did and the extra miles you always went. Thank you to her amazing and endless list of friends and in particular her guardian angels who came by to see her, she so enjoyed each visit and spoke fondly of you all. Your ability to comfort all of us is also something I will never forget. Last by not least thank you to my family and friends near and afar for making the toughest week of my life as bearable as possible. I love you mom, I take comfort in the fact that you are at peace and free of all the pain. May you rest in peace and I will see you again one day.
