Today I said goodbye to someone I hadnt known very long, but who had already grabbed a little piece of my heart. Her name was Laurie Ann, and she was a kind and most genuine soul. We had many things in common such as our love of gemstones and geology, neither of us could seem to have enough plants, and taking care of all animals who crossed our paths was a top priority for both of us. Laurie Ann was more ill than we knew however, and we lost her to a stroke earlier this week. I know she is well and whole again now, and feeling so much better than she did, but it just doesnt take the sting of loss away. Laurie Ann was an organ and tissue donor, so she is still giving to others, among them the gift of sight. Missing you, Laurie Ann! Journey well, my friend.
