Today I salute the memories of a Special Mother, and my husbands Best Friend, Mother Bobbie J. Porter (Tears) (Joy) ! On March 27,2004 at Pilgrim Progress I married my friend Rev. Homer LFairchild Sr. and The Greater New Freedom Mbc ,upon my introduction to our church there was a Lovely Lady introduced to me, by the Name of Mother Porter . Kind hearted , warm spirited, Loved EVERBODY, and she Loved the Lord , and Her Pastor & Wife and her entire Church family and those Wonderful Children of hers! (Lord they Loved her too) Sherman, Milton Williams, Micheal Williams, K Dexter Porter, and last but not least the ONLY girl Lisa Williams and the Grands that she raised : Kelliee Williams, Kendra D Williams, and( the little fire ant). She Loved Us All. She shared and showed me so much so I could be effective in the kingdom work for the Lord.She was a Classy Lady ! She would tell me Sis. Netta be sure you stand by my Pastor. Others may tear him down but you better continue to build him up!! (rub his head) LoL. She told me of the struggles of the church, and how they were overcomers! Rev. Fairchild often speaks of our friend and how we miss her! In our sharing my husband often says The world will make an impact on you or you will make an impact onit!! Well Mother Porter you made a positive Impact on this world!, your church family, and your family! A lot of people knew you and you knew a lot of people, and all spoke well of you . Proverbs 22;1 A good name is more desirable than great riches. Matthew 20:4 And he told them ; Go ye also into the vineyard , and whatever is right I will give you . Work is what you did : all the time, cooking, for the church cleaning, . Eccles. 9:10 Whatever your hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; and that is what you did!! and whatsoever is right he did pay!! You worked and God paid! he is not slack concerning promises. We continue to celebrate your life and legacy! Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Your Works are following you! Your Wooty is singing so good!! but I dont know how to cook a sweet potato , pie, Kellie is the Pastors Secretary, Milton comes to support our fund raiser, Lisa is the Ministry Leader,for the choir, Dexter, check on me and the Pastor often , Bubba, keeps my plumbing in tip top shape, Micheal , brought my lunch a few weeks ago. and Kristen (fire ant) is praise dancing. And I am still wearing those big has you told me to wear and SHOUTING YES SIR!!!!The Mothers Board is still wearing our white dresses. Take your Rest My True Friend! I will meet you in the morning!!! When the Lord himself shall give us a crown of Life and you cant crown him until I get there!! We loved you in life and we love you in death. Your Best friends Pastor H.L.
