Today I saw my doctor to get a medical clearance for a procedure Im to have next month. While I was there, she asked what kind of medical information she could give me. She has to dispense hand-outs to a certain percentage of her patients to be in compliance with certain federal guidelines! She had been doing it, but not doing in the computer correctly, so she didnt get credit for it. So now shes trying to give out as much information as she can. She gave me a multi-page information sheet on asthma (I could have written a better one). She said, You can use it to make airplanes. But how outrageous! To REQUIRE a doctor to provide such information or else get penalized by the government! Thats not medicine. Thats coercion.
