Today I saw someone who had publicly made some pretty ugly remarks about our family during one of our darkest times of life. You can relax - Im nowhere near connected to them on Facebook and would never post if I were. The reason for this status update is to remind myself and all of my dearest friends of how ashamed you will be in the long run when you come face-to-face with those who you talk ugly about openly when they are down. I felt so sorry for this man, he could hardly look me in the face. If what you said about people when they werent there would make you feel ashamed when you come face to face with them, then that is a great indicator that you shouldnt say it at all. Especially if the person youre talking about could be going through one of the biggest trials of their life. Things arent always what they appear from the outside be careful what you say when someone is down, you very well could be sadly mistaken and unsure how to react when you come face-to-face with that person in the future. Seems to me that the old-timers had it right, if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all. Keep your mouth shut - its much easier than eating your mistakenly rude words later.
