Today, I sent $ 10 cash for someone to Pitcairn Island. The money is intended for postage. The island has 56 inhabitants, no bank. It is 5000 kilometers from New Zealand and 5700 km from South America away. Even the Easter Islands are located about 2000km. There is no airport and no port. The inhabitants are supplied with cargo ships, every 3 months when the weather is good. So this is a very exciting story, whether my letter arrives, and when. In exchange I hope to get sand from Pitcairn, and I am curious if and when and from where, because pitcairn has no beach. :-)
