Today, I spent some time reading in the living room, chatting a bit on facebook, and I also watched a video on psychopathy and the ways a person can defend themselves from psychopaths. I found the latter of those activities to be very informative, and thought many of you might benefit from such information. This is a subject Ive researched a bit in the past, but never went in to a whole lot of detail on. If you are interested in this subject, I have provided a link to the associated video I watched below. I have also provided some information on the defense portion of the video for those who may be interested. The more informed and aware you are of this subject, the safer both you and your family will be. One of the greatest defenses against a psychopath is to acknowledge their existence. This develops a psychological advantage. To be forewarned is to be forearmed against a psychopath. Having embraced oneself with knowledge of predatory individuals, one is better able to think clearly and thus spot the predator before he can stop you. Psychopaths are difficult to spot, and have been known to fool even mental health professionals. Some character traits often attributed to psychopaths are as follows: A complete lack of empathy, pity, remorse or self-guilt Anti-social behavior A history of compulsive lying to facilitate their need to live parasitically off of others A desire and knack for manipulating others for their own benefit, often mimicking human emotions and expressions A lack of background information A history of betrayals A lack of patience with others Superficiality and shallowness, and often a lack of passion for anything other than themselves An overblown sense of entitlement Impulsive behavior (what they want now is “good”, while whatever they do not want is “bad”) https://youtube/watch?v=MgGyvxqYSbE#t=25
