Today I submitted an appeal to the Office of the Appeals Convenor against the EPA decision not to conduct an assessment. The Appeals Convenor will now undertake an investigation and make a recommendation on the validity of the EPA decision. My main beef was that the EPA decided not to assess on the basis that it was only running for a few months whilst at the same time the Premier was still asking for an extension of the exemption under the EPBC Act. Its one or the other. You cant hedge your bets.
