Today I talked to two of my friends at my doctors office. Theyre chemotherapy nurses. Ive known them through my whole treatment. Since Im an LVN, they have been talking to me about getting a job as a chemotherapy nurse. We all agree I would be an inspiration to the patients battling cancer and Im living proof of life after cancer. Even my doctor is in agreement. So today one of the nurses talked to the lady in human resources about me. When she came back to me she had good news. I was told to update my resume and bring it in. I have been so excited with the idea of a rewarding position as a chemotherapy nurse. Before I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was thinking of a specialty I wanted to work in and I wanted a more challenging career. So I think this is it. I pray I will get hired and be able to be motivational to others still in their battle. Too bad I had to take this long route to find out my calling, but its in Gods plan for my life.
