Today I talked with a 12 year old who has been going through an enormous amount of trauma, depression, and a multitude of events that no 12 year old should experience. I gave her the best advice I could give: talk with her family about whats going on, consider talking with a professional, finding a group of friends who she can trust and confide in, and pouring all of those emotions in her art, music, and writing. I dont think she fully comprehended the impact she made on me but Im now realizing that one of my passions in life is talking and working with teenagers. I hope that one day I can find a position that not only lets me give back to my community, but actively help teenagers through difficult and trying times
