Today, I think that I found colonial copper metal detecting with my old Manhattanville buddy Monica Childers. I am not sure (and can use help researching this). I found it in Hempstead, which was an English colony. I know its copper or brass because of the blue green oxidized parts. It is not perfectly rounded like a coin. Only one side has an image on it, the other side is corroded. I am going to try electrolysis on it tonight and ill repost another pic. Unlike the 1843 penny, which was in great condition, this one needs some more blues clues to solve.....I am happy for my friend who found 2 silver quarters today.
