Today I took Jerell to Sylvan Learning Center for an assessment to get started on some tutoring. While I was discussing our plan of action with the director, Jerell was in the classroom working on puzzles. He came in to the office and showed me a completed puzzle of random geometric shapes. and said, look! I did it!. The director looked shocked. He took the box out and showed us the inside. There was a name and the date 12/6/2010. He said, The last person to solve this puzzle was a 16 year old, 4 years and 4 days ago... Looks like you have a architect or an engineer on your hands. Moral of the story. My child doesnt have to fit into the typical child box or the public school standard to succeed. The key is finding a way to get him focused and the right way to direct his energy. He has a long road ahead of him but mannnn.... I have a feeling this kid is going to do GREAT things one day. Oh. And he got to sign the box and put the date: 12/10/14. 😆😆
