Today I took Levi to the community park to practice some of his skills with distractions. He saw a family exit their car - a mom, two young boys, and a yorkie. Levi came unglued! Barking, lunging, whining, and a host of other sounds I cannot describe. As I was increasing distance between us and the family, the older boy approaches and asks, will he bite? I said to him, He is in training and he has not learned how to sit nicely to be petted. The boy rejoined his family. About twenty minutes later, the family is returning to their car, and the boy shouts across the yard, have you trained him yet? ummm. No.
