Today I took the kids to see a new Imax about Normandy and hear from two Texans who were there, one a paratrooper and Nazi POW, the other a soldier who later liberated a concentration camp. He said he could never forget the things he saw. At a Q&A following the Imax, First a French woman stood and tearfully thanked the men for liberating her country. Then a woman, whose entire family with the exception of her grandfather was killed at Auschwitz, stood and passionately thanked them on behalf of all Jews.
