Today I traveled to Lompoc...to buy a half acre of English Lavender from the scariest characters I have met since Arkansas. Piles of junk in their yard and a broken down Ma and Pa Kettle House!...Not a soul for miles....then when they took me around the shed...(I assumed to slaughter me and feast a few months) They led me to a beautiful field of late season lavender. Who knew hillbillies lived in California? Who knew they created so much beauty?
