Today I turn 30. I could definitely pout. But I wont. Im going to love today and my thirties. It is a privilege to turn 30 and to grow older. I won the familial lottery long ago and owe every great thing that has happened in my first thirty years to them. More importantly, my family and friends were there when things did not go my way and helped me find the proverbial window when I felt the door was closed. In 30 years I have gone to college, worked, and then went back for more, earning my Masters. I have a career I am in love with. My work motivates me to be a greater person and a constant reminder of how fortunate I am. I have incredible friends who have made me laugh uncontrollably, comforted, and gone on amazing, sometimes ridiculous, adventures with. I have experienced profound loss, fallen in love, had my heart broken and then turn around and find the true love of my life. Reaching 30 has been incredible. My next 30 will be even better.
