Today I turn 62! I wrote this some years ago. Maybe a little on the light side. The Bible does say that a merry heart doeth good like a medicine. Hope you enjoy this. Growing Old Is Not Too Bad Growing old is not too bad, When you think of all the fun you’ve had. Serving Jesus really pays. He’s surely led us all the way. Because of sin, we know we’ll die, And be with Jesus in the by and by. But for now, we live and walk down here, And just get older year by year. So many things we now have to buy, We know that we need them, just don’t know why! There’s Multi Vitamins for when you don’t eat right. And Ibuprofen to help us make it thru the night. We have Efferdent to clean your teeth, And Oral B for your gums beneath. There’s Dr. Scholl’s to help your feet, And even a wheelchair when we feel beat. There’s a supplement to give us strength, Magnesium and Zinc. Seems sometimes were taking everything but the kitchen sink. Sometimes with age, you may need a cane. And sometimes there’s Advil for our aches and pains. You eat all these healthy foods, and who knows why? They’re supposed to help us so we say we’ll try. You take Vitamin E to improve your circulation, We’re just proud the blood still makes its rotation. There’s walking and exercise to try to keep us fit. We’re just paying for the days we did nothing but sit. Sometimes our eyes grow dim, we can’t seem to see. And our ears are just not what that used to be. But still, growing old is not so bad, When we consider all the fun we’ve had. Sometimes now our minds may seem to roam, But remember, we’re just getting closer to Home. (Written by Rev. Dan S.
