Today, I ventured out with Kiley Wallace to deliver our latest report nominating a 1926 Spanish Eclectic house in North Park for historical designation. Oscar Knecht, first building inspector for the City of San Diego, built the house of fire-proof hollow clay tile with a stucco coating. We feel the architecture is reason for designation. I do not know when City of San Diego staff will put it on the calendar, but given their backlog and staff shortages, I suspect it will not go to hearing until January or February 2014.
