Today I viewed the movie, Unbroken at Coconut Point 16 in Estero, Florida. It is mostly about the plight of WW 2 Capt. Louis Zamperini who was part of a bomber crew shot down over the Pacific Ocean. The three survivors of the crash and numerious incidents afterwards lasted 47 days at sea only to be captured by the Japs. The majority of the movie dealt with the cruelty of the Jap guards toward the Allied POWs, especially Capt. Z. I found this movie to be historic and inspirational. Maybe it gives new meaning to the phrase, greatest generation. I dont think the, baby boomers kept up with them. I never did. After completion of the movie the people in the audience clapped (only the third time I have seen that). When the credits came on no one moved a muscle. To me this has always been signs of a good movie. My rating: 3 1/2 stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. See it tonight.
