Today, I voted in support of the conference committee report to improve veteran access to care at VA hospitals around the country. I am proud of the work of our veterans committees and members of the conference committee, who put together a final piece of legislation that ensures we provide our nation’s veterans with options and access to the quality care they deserve. The conference committee report gives veterans greater access to care by allowing them to choose where, when and how they receive care. I am pleased Tulsa is one of the twenty-seven newly authorized VA facilities to serve our nation’s veterans, giving Oklahoma’s retired service men and women even more choices for their health care. We owe our veterans the services we promised them, and today’s vote on the conference committee report ensures we can keep that promise.
