Today I wake up thanking God that I have been so blessed to be born an American, to be born with a chance for peace, justice, and happiness. But as much as I am blessed, I also remember and pray for those who are far less fortunate than myself. I pray for those in my own country and all the nations of the world who have found inequity, intolerance, and strife. I pray for those poor souls in Mexico who have suffered terrible evils because of the Cartels. En nombre de la Virgen María, madre de Dios y madre de la iglesia, pido por la paz en México. Hay un solo Dios. Santa Muerte es un Dios ni un Santo. En nombre de Jesucristo, pido una bendición sobre aquellos en México. I pray, in the common tone of peace shared by our faiths, for the peoples of Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Pakistan, and Israel. I pray for the people of Nigeria, and all of Africa who suffer because of the greed of big oil. But perhaps the most, I pray for the people of my own country. I pray and hope that no child shall go hungry, no dream shall be broken, and no family shall lose another son, brother, father, mother, sister, husband, or wife.
