Today I want to explain what are the kampung who does not know them. The term “kampung” had arose around the year 1840, from the Dutch colonial period, which indicated the housing settlements of the local people. Nowadays its more to describe the settlements of the low-income people. At this moment, more than half of the total population of Jakarta are living in kampungs. I love to spend my time among the narrow streets of the kampung and talk to the people who live there, there is a genuineness that I cannot see anywhere else, there beats the living heart of Indonesia. I dont know what binds me to these places, what makes them so familiar to me, but I really feel at home among those lanes. Maybe in a previous life I was a kid running around in the streets of the kampung in Jakarta. Beautiful day yesterday taking photos among the kampung in Bogor, with the crew of Khatulistiwa Muda, Mediasari and my brother Genta Gunadi.
