Today, I want to express an outpouring of sincerity, to thank all the people who have shown interest in “Extraño Don”. Every encouraging word, every criticism, every “Like”. Thanks to Marko, I have received messages from Egypt, Russia, the US, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Turkey, Amsterdam, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Tunisia, Romania, Algeria…even though we have only shared home recordings that were out of tune and out of sync. “Extraño Don” is nothing more than a wild and desperate attempt to create something out of fear and anxiety. As the name explains, the project is strange and I am not sure about what our “Don” is. Due to anxiety, I stopped doing something that was part of my identity ten years ago. That something was singing. During this time, I struggled with depression. My suffering had turned into agoraphobia, and I had reached the point of literally being mute and unable to speak with the people closest to me. After this, the idea of “Extraño Don” was born, and here we are. My experience can help many people, being that fear in all its forms paralyzes and destroys us. We have all faced our ghosts, and we have all wanted to escape and run away. However, this is the worst thing that we could do. As for me, I am going to try to continue with the project, although I am hurt by criticism from people that I know. I know that I don’t have the resources and that I am only an amateur but I am doing this because I have to. Before I end this message, I want to thank all of you, thanks to Marko for his support, thanks to my best friend and member of the band, Pablo. Thanks to all my friends and family members. But above all to you, my darling. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to speak, much less breathe. I love you Eva.
