Today I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Pastor, Spiritual Father, Missions Mentor, and sometimes like a natural dad (LOL) Pastor Geoffrey Van Guns! First there are no words to describe how I want God to continue to bless and multiply you for the selfless work of ministry and missions you do and the love and leadership you provide to your natural family, and the family of God. Many say they have gone to the nations (simply because they had a connected flight in canada or europe), many say they have an apostolic ministry because they feel compelled to lead leaders, many profess their great authorship as soon as ink hits paper, many say they are servant leaders but lead everyone TO THEM, but OTHER than my beloved Rev Joseph M. Copeland who birthed me into the kingdom, you are the only man God has connected me to in ministry that makes no claims to be anything but one called to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified, yet your life has produced fruit to demonstrate what it means to be these ALL things WITHOUT being in pursuit of them. The ministry God has called you to IS consistently global because of your efforts, personal, spiritual, and FINANCIAL investments, and willingness to pull and push others into their very own destinies. It is generational, in that you have not allowed yourself to grow stale of comfortable and you refuse to offer God mediocre service and continue to ensure by the leading of God that leaders in the next generation are identified, equipped, and used. It transforms lives, because instead of directing it back to SELF for personal gain, pride, and recognition, you direct it towards the salvation, discipleship, nurturing, and releasing of countless others. There is so much I could say (you know that for sure lol) but I am so proud of you and grateful to be a part of what God has and shall do through you! After looking at literally hundreds of pictures of times I have been so blessed and directly transformed by your life and ministry, I pulled just a few which have significant meaning and purpose in my life due to things I was going through at the time and things you did without realization (cant find my Israel ones!). As I looked through the pics I was moved to tears at how God placed me in your care and knew EXACTLY what He was doing despite the comments and questions of others, and even me in the beginning (lol). As I looked at photos all I could be is grateful at what I have learned and been able to do with you serving me as a trusted leader! I marveled at Gods handiwork and where He has brought you from and the things He has entrusted to your care. I realized that God may call many, but many will NOT be entrusted with the things of His heart and even people who He has set apart for special works, but He by His grace has counted you for such. I thought about all your writing, teaching, preparation, praying, fasting, serving, and the great great responsibility of this global work that people have no clue about! (ITS HUGE) I was just saying God bless this man of God, keep him, strengthen him, add years to his life, and give him the deepest desires of his own heart! I thought it seemed a bit selfish in picking picks that were all about you in my life, BUT I just decided to take the personal time to cherish the past and pray for the future and I thank God for all that you have been to me as well as hundreds of thousands around the world.
