Today I want to say a giant BRAVO to Cards Against Humanity. Your Day Nine of the Ten Days of Kwanzaa was amazing! They donated $250,000 to the Sunlight Foundation, a nonprofit that advocates for open government and uses technology to basically show you who is buying your politicians. Each person received a list specific to their state. This was specifically for Senator Debbie Stabenow. That long list Im holding is covered front and back...and that font is tiny and those dollar signs are HUGE...covered in donations from different organizations whose interests are definitely not that of the citizens of this country. Every person in our government is bought and paid for...they dont represent the citizens. So again...when people tell me my vote counts...no. That list of dollar signs from corporations counts. They run the country. How can we fix it? Citizens...we need to figure it out. We need to get the money out or we can never change anything and your vote seriously means nothing. Anyone else from other states who bought the CAH Kwanzaa gift, Id love to hear about your paper trail you received about your government official. Makes me want to throw up.
