Today I want to talk about FOOD because I think this is a topic we overthink way too much. We have been trained to believe, low cal, no fat, fat free, carb free, high protein, no sugar, no gluten, 1200 calorie days are the way to achieve weight loss and health....it is no wonder we are so confused. To be fat free they must triple the sugar, to be carb free means we no longer have brain food. To be gluten free seems to be something people do only when convient. Here is my thoughts and opinion on food. Stop thinking about it 24 hours a day. Start listening to the body. If you are hungry eat good food, if you are not hungry dont eat because you think you are suppose to. Dont count calories all day long, or fat grams, or carb grams or.....you get the point. The bottom line is this, if Mother Nature makes it then I believe it is still good for us. With that said, do know that Mother Nature is no longer making all of our food that we think she is, so do your research. Treat your body with respect by feeding it unprocessed, unpackaged, REAL food. I have never heard of anyone becoming UNHEALTHY eating too many veggies. Remember, eat REAL food 80 percent of the time, and if you want to eat JUNK limit it to 20 percent. Make little changes each day and overtime you will not feel like you are giving anything up....because the only thing you are giving up is NOT FOOD anyway.
