Today I wanted to use one of my Evie Kindness cards to do something nice for one of my patience I pick up in the wheel chair van. I met him last week for the first time and he was a tuff nut to crack, I could tell he had a bad chip on his shoulder as I tried to carry a conversation with him on the ride to his appointment. At the end of his long appointment I noticed he got a free little cup of coffee the office offers and he grumbled how it was a ritual to have a cup on the ride because he loves his coffee, so today while he was at the appointment I took out an Evie card and went to Dunkin Donuts and bought him a coffee just how he likes it and paid for another for the next person who comes in and left a card. I went back to pick him up and handed him his coffee and he lit up like a Christmas tree. I think it has been a very long time since someone has done something nice for him and I explained why he was chosen today as my random act of kindness, I could see as I spoke of Evies acts of kindness project that his whole demeanor changed and I believe I have broken thru his wall alittle and I think he even smiled abit. Thank you Evie for continuing to shine down on so many people and helping to make this world we live in a better, more compassionate place to live in.
