Today I was asked to go to a counseling session entitled Trauma. Its for all the patients parents. I thought I really dont have a child with trauma issues. Shes deconditioned, no broken bones, or any other issues that most of the children have here. I went, and as I sat there my heart was overwhelmed for another family. My heart broke for this mother as tears ran down her cheeks. She was in such anguish, heartbroken. I do not know their situation. All I know, instead of focusing on my child, tears filled my eyes, I became all choked up. I had to stop myself. Which brings me here, to this point. Love one another, have compassion. We dont know the situations of all people. They still need love, and sense of safety. God loves us all unconditionally. He has such compassion for us and He covers us with favor, and renews our undeserving mercy! Abby has had a wonderful day. Shes eaten a little more and has worked hard! Shes smiling more and laughing more, what joy that brings to me. Shes almost finished her liquids for the day. Shes working on bending down and picking things up. Tomorrow she gets to go on a therapeutic outting! Yes, were going on a lunch date with some of the staff here, to El Chico! I hope she brings her appetite with her 😜.
